Applications of Ricinoleic Acid from Castor Oil

Textile Industries, Lubricant, Soap Industries - Used in textile finishing, in coating, inks and in making soaps. Used to manufacture Poly Glyceryl Poly Ricinoleate (PGPR) a key ingredient in chocolate products. Ricinoleic Acid is used for the treatment of leather where it provides good wetting, flexibility and softening property to leather. It is also act as disinfectant due to its quality antimicrobial properties when applied over open wounds. It is effective for treating fungal skin infections, such as ringworm, as well as minor cuts and scratches.
